What to expect during an Evaluation:

A Physical Therapy evaluation is your first encounter with a Doctor of Physical Therapy that will include a clinical examination, history intake, systems review, and objective data collection. The evaluation helps your therapist to develop a personalized treatment plan and provides a baseline to track progress. This is where the patient and the therapist will work together to set expectations for the treatment plan. The average time for an evaluation is between 60-90 minutes.

What to expect during a treatment session:

Depending on an individual’s diagnosis and needs, several treatments will be used for rehabilitation, such as exercise, passive stretching, soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, lymphatic drainage massage, functional training, modalites (Ultrasound, Cold Laser, Kinesiotaping, Traction, heat/cold), E-stim). The average time for a treatment session is between 45-90 minutes.
